Happy New Year

It is now the year 2013 and 2012 is just a memory, but what a great memory it is. Maine Ghost Hunters Meet Up group went to 11 locations throughout 3 states traveling over 2000 miles to explore cemeteries, historical sites, hiking trails with hideouts for murderers and haunted woods. We even searched for the allusive Bigfoot. There were some really great moments in 2012.

MGH holds these events every year and we invite the public to join us on an adventure of a life time and all you need to do is sign up at http://www.meetup.com/MaineGhostHunters/ . We do ask for donations that go to a great cause and in 2012 MGH raised over $1,200 for the MGH charity of choice – Lungs for Shawn – a 65 Roses (cystic fibrosis) foundation fundraising campaign. This was a proud moment for us and we thank everyone who contributed to this worthy cause.

So what did we do in 2012? Well here is a little clip from our adventures.

If I had to choose a favorite moment of the year it would be a really hard choice for me. The Northern Maine Woods Camping / Bigfoot trip and the Cape Cod cemetery tour would be my top two picks. If you read the Blogs that MGH Teresa and I post then you know that we both really enjoy exploring cemeteries and Kat gave us a lot to think about with her research into the scribes. Camping and Bigfoot hunting with Team Tazer was very educational and fascinating. We learned so much about our surroundings and nature while in the Northern Maine Woods. It’s not easy to search over 3.5 million acres of woods so I am hoping this might become an annual tradition.

For those of you who joined us on any of our meet ups I would love for you to leave a comment and Tell us which one was your favorite and why. For those of you who would like to join us on one of these adventures then sign in to http://www.meetup.com/MaineGhostHunters/ and keep an eye out for our 2013 schedule.
