Confessions of a Newbie: How It All Began

A whisper in the dark.
The sound of footsteps in an empty house.
A sudden change in temperature that can’t be explained.
The smell of cherry pipe tobacco that hasn’t been smoked in over 20 years.
A shadow where one should not exist.
Was it the wind? My imagination? A trick of the light? Maybe.

But could it have been something more?

That question is what led me to where I am today. I have encountered many things I can’t explain, and based on those experiences, I truly believe there is more to life and death than we can readily see, touch, and feel. But for me, belief is just not enough. I want more. I want answers, and I want tangible, scientific, cold hard proof. It is this hunger, this passion, that led me to the realm of paranormal investigation and, ultimately, to Maine Ghost Hunters.

Compared to many in the paranormal field, I am a bit of a newbie. I’ve been actively investigating for only about a year. During that time, I have enjoyed meeting others in the field and learning from their different styles, techniques, and experiences. Through social media and word of mouth, I was introduced to Maine Ghost Hunters about six months ago, and I felt an immediate connection. Their high standards and science-based approach coupled with a healthy dose of skepticism is exactly what I was seeking. As I got to know the team, I discovered they are amazing individuals, and their professionalism and dedication is unparalleled. When the unique opportunity to become part of MGH’s charter audio review B-Team presented itself, I jumped at the chance and never looked back.

And that, my friends, is how I arrived at this chapter of my adventure. A quest for answers, the search for truth, my journey into the paranormal has only just begun. Won’t you join me?
