For those of you who have heard the rumors and wondered if they might be true, the answer is "yes". As has been announced by the Portland Press Herald and the Kennebec Journal, "yes", Maine Ghost Hunters will be appearing on a nationally televised paranormal TV show called "My Ghost Story" which will air its first-run of this season's episodes on Saturday July 17, 2010. The time slot can be found within your local listings, but the team has been notified it will likely air at 10:00 pm PST on the A & E Bio Channel. The time slot may change between now and July 17, so keep a close eye out if you'd like to view it on its first-run.

Maine Ghost Hunters team leads Kat, Tony, and David traveled to Los Angeles, at the start of 2010, along with clients from Bridgton, Boothbay, and Vassalboro, to film parts of 3 episodes they will be appearing in through the end of summer and beginning of fall, 2010. A portion of each episode will showcase one investigator-client pairing, along with the visually compelling evidence upon which the production company anchored each Maine Ghost Hunters "My Ghost Story" segment. The visual evidence will be presented in the form of videos and photos, and will likely be the centerpiece of each presented segment.
"I think the show will be pretty engaging to watch, considering the amount of time we spent filming in the studio, and recreating the events here in Maine", Kat says, "I haven't seen it yet, but I think it's going to be strikingly similar to the TV show called Celebrity Ghost Stories". The team had been tight-lipped about their involvement with the TV show up until recently when the actual air-date was announced by the production company. Kat adds, "having been approached by a number of different production companies, over the past couple of years, we've learned to take experiences like this with a certain level of skepticism. I suppose the actual trip out to the west coast should have had a more significant impact, but what can I say, I'm a person who believes it when I see it."
Although team leads Kat and Tony have appeared on The Animal Planet's nationally aired TV show "The Haunted" back in late 2009, in conjunction with another team, they consider this to be their true national debut. Tony says, "we chose to work with A&E on this project because of the human aspect of the paranormal story telling. Having been approached by other producers and TV shows to appear on more 'traditional' ghost hunting shows, the team felt this format was a better fit with our mission statement."

If you missed Maine Ghost Hunters during the first-run of The Animal Planet's paranormal TV show "The Haunted", episode "Ghost Box Prophecies" don't worry, because there's always re-runs. In the first week it aired, the episode ran 3 times: Sunday December 6 at 10:00pm, Friday December 11 at 10:00pm and Saturday December 12, at 1:00 am in the morning.
Maine Ghost Hunters is involved in this episode of "The Haunted", along with the featured Maryland-based paranormal team, PRRSociety, due to our extensive investigative experience on the grounds of the Henryton, much of which was in collaboration with the PRRS team. We've captured interesting results from various ghost box sessions at The Henryton, and have collected some of our strongest, most compelling EVP's there as well.
Since this episode really centers its content on the subject of "attachments" we would be remiss not to include the statement that members of our 2 teams have, indeed, had run-in's with paranormal phenomena we considered "negative" and which we could attribute only to having been involved with this location. As the client clearly states in this episode, sometimes it's hard to believe such things happen, until they happen to you.
If you're planning a visit to The Henryton, please pay respect and homage to the lost souls who suffered terribly in life, and who continue to suffer aimlessly in death. If you can bring yourself to personally understand the horror and tragedy these African American TB patients endured in their final days of life, you might be able to connect with what remains there. Listen to our EVP's, and understand for yourself.
